Let’s Talk About Color

If manufacturers don\’t disclose whether their product is ISO or FSO, the best way to tell is by the color.  ISO Hemp products will have a clear, white or very light yellow hue.   FSO Hemp products will have a rich golden color.   That beautiful golden hue comes from the terpenes

What the heck are terpenes?

Terpenes give cannabis its flavor and aroma. Terpenes are essential oils that exist in the same glands as the cannabinoids called trichomes. Terpenes are not exclusive to cannabis; they exist in every plant on earth.

Terpenes are healthy for people as well as plants.  Terpenoids and cannabinoids both increase blood flow, enhance cortical activity, and kill respiratory pathogens, including MRSA (Staph) infection.

Cannabis terpenes interact synergistically to create what scientists refer to as an “entourage effect”.  This magnifies the therapeutic benefits of the plant’s individual components—so that the medicinal impact of the whole plant is greater than the sum of its parts.

IN SHORT: High quantities of terpenes connect the cannabinoids with their targets and our bodies receive a much higher nutrient dense full spectrum oil (FSO)

Cannabinoid-terpenoid interactions amplify the beneficial effects of cannabis while mitigating THC-induced anxiety that can accompany the “high”.

The terpenes in marijuana have given the plant an enduring, evolutionary advantage. Pungent terpenoid oils repel insects, animal grazers, and even prevent fungus.
